Idalia is the proud Owner and Creative Director of La Fama Salon & Spa. She has worked in the beauty industry for over 25 years, opening her first salon right out of beauty school at age 20.

As our Creative Director, Idalia keeps our colorists and stylists current with the latest techniques and treatments. She schedules classes, workshops, and trade shows for our designers to attend and grow. She also keeps herself up to date on all the latest hair trends by attending numerous classes and workshops, then shares her knowledge with our team of designers. Idalia consults with new clients who need expert advice and helps them find the best designer.

Since opening her first salon, Idalia has continued her education by attending business-building and beauty workshops, including training at Alter Ego, Alfaparf, Tec Italy, Cosmo Academy, Aveda Strictly Business, and Alterna Academy. She has been trained in and has worked with several product lines, including Paul Mitchell, Wella, Lendan, Bio Ionic, and many more.

Her passion for hair and beauty has made Idalia successful in the industry. She has opened and operated numerous salons and spas in New Jersey and the Dominican Republic and is now expanding to Tampa, Florida, with two locations. Many of the salons she established thrive today due to the strong foundation she provided for their new owners.

​

Today, Idalia travels between New Jersey and Tampa, Florida, every three months, leaving her daughter, Wilmarie, to manage La Fama Salon & Spa. At the same time, she focuses on growing and operating the two new locations in Tampa.

​

As an educator for Alter Ego, a high-quality hair care line, Idalia trained licensed cosmetologists and salons on the latest cutting techniques and treatments, including Japanese straighteners and Korean digital perms. During this time, she traveled weekly to teach classes, lead workshops, participate in hair shows, and perform platform work.

​

Idalia is known for her warm and friendly personality and her expert eye for beauty. She provides excellent advice on styles that best complement each client, ensuring that every guest enjoys their time at her salon and leaves feeling happy and confident.

Along with being a licensed cosmetologist, Idalia has also completed the following certifications:

Desde que abrió su primer salón, Idalia ha seguido educándose asistiendo a talleres de belleza y negocios, incluida la capacitación en Alter Ego, Alfaparf, Tec Italy, Cosmo Academy, Aveda Strictly Business y Alterna Academy. Ha sido capacitada y ha trabajado con varias líneas de productos, incluidas Paul Mitchell, Wella, Lendan, Bio Ionic y muchas más.

Actualmente, Idalia viaja de Nueva Jersey a Tampa, Florida, cada tres meses, dejando a su hija Wilmarie a cargo de La Fama Salon & Spa mientras ella crece y trabaja en las dos nuevas ubicaciones en Tampa.

Como educadora de Alter Ego, una línea de cuidado capilar de alta calidad, Idalia ha capacitado a cosmetólogos licenciados y salones en las últimas técnicas de corte y tratamientos, incluidos los alisadores japoneses y las permanentes digitales coreanas. Durante este tiempo, viajó semanalmente para impartir clases, dirigir talleres, participar en shows de cabello y realizar trabajo de plataforma.

​

Idalia es una persona encantadora con una personalidad cálida y amigable, además de un ojo experto para la belleza. Brinda excelentes consejos sobre qué estilos se adaptan mejor a cada cliente, asegurándose de que cada invitado disfrute su tiempo en el salón y se vaya feliz y seguro de sí mismo.
